Mixed media exhibiting artist. Jeanne Krabbendam Immigrated in 1999 from The Netherlands. Is faculty instructor at Emily Carr University, teaches private classes and creates her own art at her studio on Granville Island. Was shocked by the numbers of people – obvious with mental illness – walking the streets of Vancouver. Decided to try and do something. Started creating art with the members in the Art Room at Coast Mental Health Resource Centre, downtown Vancouver. First art exhibition 2005. At that time just Coast members/artists. A great success. Yearly art shows attract hundreds of buyers. For the Olympic year a new approach……
